@TwitterNYC and @TwitterEng invite you to an evening of tech talks, beer and food with members of our SF and NYC-based engineering teams! Please register as soon as you can since we anticipate hitting capacity very quickly. If you'd like to bring a +1, just let us know their name and e-mail address.
An overview of Twitter's purpose-built flexible, dynamic reverse proxy. We'll go over some of the issues we encountered in building a highly available, manageable serving infrastructure at Twitter's scale.
Twitter users want to see relevant content that's happening in real-time, and in order to provide the best user experience we can, we've made numerous product improvements over the recent months. Here, we'll explore the architecture behind providing personalized, real-time stories in the Discover tab, our work to construct a meaningful social graph and Twitter's powerful search technology.
I'll be presenting a case study of the lessons learned and design principles that have emerged from Twitter's tweet delivery infrastructure. I'll give an overview of two different approaches, and go into detail about how we've made them fault-tolerant and scalable.
Take the 6 train to Grand Central Terminal (we're 1 block away!) or the F Train to Bryant Park.
